homeschooling resources

Asalaamu alaikum

My husband is designing a new website for the islamic publishing company he works for and he said he can include a seperate area on or offsite where we can upload homeschooling materials and resources for free use. It would be organized by subject with download links. The only problem is getting all the  materials together so if you have any materials that would be beneficial, please email them to me at this following address:

In the subject line, please state the name of the resource, the course and grade.

ex: asma’ullah al husnaa, islamic studies, grade 4      (or)
patterning with manipulatives, mathematics, grade 1     (or)
bag with shapes, montessori, grade k     (or)
history of the arab empire w/exam, history, grade 11

I am going to try and see if he can make it so that anyone can upload their own materials as they make them or find them so that there is more involvement and so it is more accessible inshaAllah.

We are accepting any and all resources and grades and subjects. Even if they are posted elsewhere, please send them us as well so that we have as many resources together in one space as possible, bi’thnAllah. Jazakallah khair.

    Assalaam alaikum :
i hope insha Allah you and your family are in best state of eeman and helath ameen.
I think you have a very beautiful and beneficial website : Ma sha allah ; A lot of what i teach my 5 year old son I came across on your site too alhamdulillah; However I live in Suriname ; South America and here it is not popular or known to educate kids by homecholing ; but given the fithnah a muslim child is exposed to in a non muslim community i really have the wish to someday insha Allah teach him by homeschooling.I just read this article but I would like to know if the website your husband was preparing has been finalized and launched ? Insha Allah i hope to find material which I can work with when we will start insha Allah.
May Allah swa Reward you with Jannatul Firdaus for your good work and efforts to please Him swa ameen.
    Ramadaan Kareen .

    • Walaikum salaam sister,
JazakAllah khair for the beautiful words and the intent to homeschool your son for the sake of Allah swa. Allah will make it easy for you, if it is written for your son to be homeschooled. Allah knows our intentions and I will make dua for you and your family inshaAllah. As for the website, we got sidetracked by my daughters illnesses alhamdulillah, (you can read about her on the top page of my site), and I am starting College in September alhamdulillah. InshaAllah we hope to get things organized soon, bithn’Allah. You can look through my site for ideas for different subjects and on the right hand side if you scroll down there are links to other sisters homeschooling sites. InshaAllah these will help you. Im not sure what your first language is, I would guess english… I would suggest for language arts getting arabic and english workbooks – tracing the letters and linking them together… making arabic flashcards and english flashcards, and learning some Dolce Sight words (these are words that are common in the english language like : at, but, that, see, like…. I would also suggest religious studies; surah Al Fatiah and the last few surahs of Quran for memorization. Islamic studies, you could teach him about tawheed (Allah is One, La Illaha il Allah), the first 10 names of Allah swt, and one or two of the Prophets, I would say maybe Prophet Muhammad saaw and Prophet Isa (A.S). Also about ramadhan andthe Eids as they happen to come throughout the year inshaAllah. For my sons science we studied botany, (plants). I taught him the different parts of plants, we planted a garden which was growing since May (which after some hoodlums attacked is now just dirt alhamdulillah, although it was fruitful with corn and peas and tomatoes and watermelon which my son did see mashaAllah lol)… we studies Adab (manners…what you should do and not do at the masjid… eating etiquettes and duas, etc)… art is always fun and we went on nature walks where he would collect pine cones and rocks and so on… oh and we also regularly went over how to make wud’uu and pray, although it is not yet obligatory. I also taught him about sadaqah and we made a jar where he puts money each week and at the end of the month we donate it to either the masjid or a charity alhamdulillah. If there is anything else I can help with let me know okay? Otherwise keep visting my site and comment under a topic if you need help or have an idea to share inshaAllah 🙂 Fi amanAllah
