homeschooling resources

Asalaamu alaikum

My husband is designing a new website for the islamic publishing company he works for and he said he can include a seperate area on or offsite where we can upload homeschooling materials and resources for free use. It would be organized by subject with download links. The only problem is getting all the  materials together so if you have any materials that would be beneficial, please email them to me at this following address:

In the subject line, please state the name of the resource, the course and grade.

ex: asma’ullah al husnaa, islamic studies, grade 4      (or)
patterning with manipulatives, mathematics, grade 1     (or)
bag with shapes, montessori, grade k     (or)
history of the arab empire w/exam, history, grade 11

I am going to try and see if he can make it so that anyone can upload their own materials as they make them or find them so that there is more involvement and so it is more accessible inshaAllah.

We are accepting any and all resources and grades and subjects. Even if they are posted elsewhere, please send them us as well so that we have as many resources together in one space as possible, bi’thnAllah. Jazakallah khair.

Ummrah masha’Allah

Asalaamu alaikum rahmatullah wa barakatu
My friend Haniyyah who is a convert got the opportunity from Allah subhan wa t’ala to go with a group on an all expenses paid ummrah masha’Allah. Her husband went with her (he went with the group last year). Here is a video one of the sisters made during ummrah masha’Allah…

note:If you watch at 34:30, he explains that the body of Muhammed rasoolulah (saaw) is intact and tells the hadith of where the body of a hafiz of the Qur’an (someone who memorizes Qur’an) stays intact after death and does not break down subhanAllah… this is in appreciation from Allah subhan wa t’ala.

p.s.. if anyone knows what nasheed that is at 35:30, please let me know thanks!

Alhamdulillah, I think my son understands the basics of Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyyah inshaAllah… next is to teach him Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah (singling out Allaah with worship so that none besides Him is worshipped, so that none besides Him is called upon)

Say: My prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are for Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. This is what I have been commanded with and I am the first of those who submit (to him with Islaam and Tawheed)” (al-An’aam 6:162), and He said, “Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)” (al-Kawthar 108:2).

And to teach him about Tawheed al-Asmaa was-Sifaat which is describing Allaah the Most High and naming Him with whatever He described and named Himself with, and with whatever His Messenger (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam) described and named Him with in the authentic narrations (i.e.. the 99 names of Allah subhana wa t’ala).

nothing too much to say…

Alhamdulillah there is nothing too much new on the homeschool front. We are still learning to write our letters and doing simple math concepts… I need to take him out more than I do for science activities inshaAllah. As for islamic studies, he knows some tawheed and has been letting me know everything that was made by Allah subhanAllah wa tala… if you ask him who is Allah, he will tell you “He’s one, Our creator”, mashaAllah. Quran is going, but I have a new Quran schedule for him inshaAllah… (I did get this from a sister’s site, though I forget which one, so if it is yours, please let me know so I can give you credit inshaAllah)…

Daily Quran Review: Juz Amma

after fajr or sometime in the morning
surahs 78-82

after thuhr
surahs 83-90

after asr
surahs 91-98

after maghrib
surahs 99-106

after Isha (or before if isha is later)
surahs 107-114

I am also working on teaching him the islamic months of the year inshaAllah (muharram, sufr, etc….)
