fasting while pregnant

Salaam alaikum sisters,
So even though I know it isnt mandatory to fast while I am pregnant, I thought I would let you know how it has been going for me. Alhamdulillah, I am 23 weeks pregnant now and have been able to complete five out of the first seven days of ramadhan, by the will of Allah swt. It has been at most times, easier for me this year than it was last year, on account that I have not had any fasting-induced headaches thus far, alhamdulillah. The days are longer, much longer subhanAllah, and yes – I look forward to when ramadhan is in January again and the days are shorter – though at the same time, the long hours give more time for reflection and ibadah mashaAllah. When the days are shorter, you seem to be rushing to get everything done – reading Quran, taking care of the children, preparing iftars – and the days go by so fast that you dont have time to appreciate all the blessings Allah has given you. I love the longer days – as drawn out as they are – and I look forward to the next three weeks inshaAllah! May Allah swt accept all your dua in the days ahead, and give you all the opportunity to enjoy the many blessings He (swt) has given you!
